
The Organic Optical Materials Group is located in Lakeland, FL at Florida Polytechnic University. The OOMG primarily focuses on research projects related to organic and biological optical materials. The work done at the OOMG is at the cross-roads of physics, chemistry, materials science, and sometimes a little biology. The group has traditionally supported undergraduate research across many disciplines in science and engineering. The main projects currently being persued are biolasing, photomechanical devices, and nonlinear optics.
