The Organic Optical Materials Group is located in Lakeland, FL at Florida Polytechnic University. The OOMG focuses on research projects that are related to the field of optics. Topics ranging from fundamental theory to applied physics. The work done at the OOMG is at the cross-roads of physics, chemistry, and materials engineering, and the group has traditionally supported undergraduate research across many disciplines in science and engineering. The main projects currently being persued are biolasing, photomechanical devices, and self-healing optical materials.
December 1, 2023: We are hiring a post-doctoral scholar for the biolaser project. If you are interested, then please send a Cover Letter and CV to Prof. Nathan Dawson at ndawson@floridapoly.edu
